3 Hattie Littles

29 How sweet it is and In my lonely room?

Clue. Two songs which were minor hits for two huge acts who suffered falling chart success when HDH left Motown.

30 could this be Michael Hutchence who fell off a bike and suffered brain damage. This caused depression and he hung himself.

Hutchence was not around in the '60's/'70's. Clue. This person never actually had any solo chart success despite having two of the late '60's most highly acclaimed albums. They sung as a guest vocalist on one of the '60's greatest ever albums which although released in '67 did not chart until '94.

1 more point to Carole [bow]

Sandie Shaw was nearly banned by Rolf's manager because she had just been divorced and he thought it would spoil Rolf's clean image....!!

It was not her divorce Carole. She was cited as the 'other woman' in a divorce case. It was the BBC not Harris's manager who wanted to drop her! Today no one would bat an eyelid!

Sorry this is not part or the Quiz..
My brother was a huge fan of Ruby Murray so I just thought
I would add a bit of trivia about her. As she was mentioned!

She did have "Softly, Softly" at Number 1, and "Heartbeart"
was number 3 in January 1955.

She also made pop chart history in March 1955 by having five singles in the Top Twenty in a single week.

"Heartbeat" (1954) – UK number 3 on 7/1/55 in the charts for 11 weeks. *
"Softly, Softly" (1955) – UK number 1 on 28/1/55 in the charts for 23 weeks. *
"Happy Days and Lonely Nights" (1955) – UK number 6 on 4/2/55 in the charts for 8 weeks. *
"Let Me Go Lover" (1955) – UK number 5 on 4/3/55 in the charts for 7 weeks. *
"If Anyone Finds This, I Love You" (1955) – UK number 4 on 11/3/55 in the charts for 11 weeks. *
"Evermore" (1955) – UK number 3 on 1/7/55 in the charts for 17 weeks.
"I'll Come When You Call" (1955) – UK number 6 on 14/10/55 in the charts for 7 weeks.
"The Very First Christmas of All (1955) – UK number 9 (Record Mirror)
"You are My First Love" (1956) – UK number 16 on 31/8/56 in the charts for 2 weeks.
"Real Love" (1958) – UK number 18 on 12/12/58 in the charts for 3 weeks.
"Goodbye Jimmy, Goodbye" (1959) – UK number 10 on 20/6/59 in the charts for 7 weeks.

Not too bad for an Irish girl!!

Cheers Douggie
