Dusty and the Beatles

Postby wally » Sun Jul 15, 2018 7:45 pm

They appeared together several times especially in the RSG days. And apart from You Cant Do That, I don't ever remember Dusty singing a Lennon and McCartney song.....when there were so many. To my mind she never recorded one either.....unless someone can jog my memory?

ImageWell, Dusty seems to have loved American music to such an extent that it never would have occurred to her to dip into her fellow Brit-artists' songbooks - of course she recorded a number of original songs by British songwriters.

I agree with you, Carole, Dusty would have sung The Long and Winding Road beautifully. It's a sad, sweet song that might have appealed to her. What do you think?
