The Cranberry Fold was knocked down a few years back, there's a housing estate built there now. It was on a windy hilltop, that I remember and it was also the place where Jeremy and I had our first date [:)] I can only find one picture and it's not that good and I found another taken inside with a group of people watching Tom Jones, but can't work out how to save it. Here's the link Cas, in case Dene can work it out [;)] The pictures are in alphabetical order if you hover over them.

Thanks Cas, every time I tried to save it, I got the link instead of just the picture. I sort of remember the inside and the dance floor but although it must have been mid sixties, those people look far older than I did when I was there!

I saw Dusty at the Cavendish in Birmingham on the 1st March 1969.
I have searched and searched for some photos of the venue, all to no avail.

The only memories I have of that night are of Dusty signing the card. I had nothing else on me she could have signed, so I told her this and this is what she wrote!

Forty three years ago today Dusty was performing in Seattle as part of what became her last concert hall tour. The itinerary took her around the northwest United States and western Canada. Here's where she played in Seattle:

On May 3 she was at the Portland Auditorium, now known as The Keller Auditorium:

The next night, May 4, she was at the Queen Elizabeth theater in Vancouver BC:

Then off to her first date in Alberta at the Edmonton Jubilee Auditorium on May 5:

Her next concert was on May 6 at the Saskatoon Centennial Auditorium:

May 7 found her in Manitoba, at the Winnepeg Auditorium, which was notorious for it's bad sound:

After a day off it was back to Alberta on May 9 and the Calgary Jubilee Auditorium (yes, it's exactly the same as the Edmonton venue).

She had another day off and I hope she had a chance to see some of the area around Calgary, perhaps Banff.

Then it was down to Washington state for her tour closing date on May 11 at the Spokane Coliseum:

ImageWow - I went on two high school trips to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre seeing productions of The Taming of the Shrew & The Caucasian Chalk Circle. And I saw a "Jack & the Beanstalk" panto at the Jubilee Auditorium when I lived in Calgary as a child & after I moved back there in my mid-20s I saw several concerts at that venue: Juice Newton, the Pointer Sisters, Caterina Valente, Cleo Laine, Mary O'Hara, Tanya Tucker. Sorry - don't have any tidbits about either venue to share: just recall them both as being very nice. Certainly the Jubilee Auditorium & probably the Queen Elizabeth Theatre would have been respectively Calgary & Vancouver's respective top concert venue in 1969.
