Need help getting it right.

[8)] I read something the other day that shook me, and I'm asking for some help sorting thru this.
An article published 21 June,2014 at "Mail Online" subtitled "The Dark Side Of Dusty Springfield."
 I'm sure there has been discussion here which I've missed, but the article really disturbed me.
In reference to the altercation between Teda Bracci, and Dusty it portrays Dusty as being equally aggressive, and responsible for the outcome.
This rendition of the story differs greatly from what I've read, and been told. And it's just hard for me to believe, or I don't want to believe it. [deaf]
The end of the article suggests reference to a book authored by Karen Bartlett titled: "Dusty: An Intimate Portrait of a Musical Legend".
So I ask, what is this Mail Online ?
Is their angle on the story credible ?
And who is Karen Bartlett ? What are her motives in writing this book, and what are her sources ?
I suppose I could discover these things myself, but LTD is my Dusty family. More trusted than others, and I'm asking for your personal expertise, and opinions. [bow]

Hi Jeffery:

Karen Bartlett wrote a book that turned out to be just another trashography, but most unforgivably she gave extensive voice to Teda and Sue Cameron and allowed them to express their take on Dusty. Needless to say it wasn't flattering.

The Mail Online refers to the UK newspaper The Daily Mail - you can read it here:

 Thanks Maggie.
That was the vibe I got.
But about the Daily Mail - Why would they publish such gossip ?
Is that what I should expect to find in their columns ?

Pretty much. The British press seems to be more sensational than on this side of the pond.
