Dale's Funeral

Postby wally » Tue May 22, 2018 6:39 pm

I see that Dale Winton's funeral took place today in London. He was always the biggest Dusty fan so I am pleased that Claire Sweeney sang Goin' Back and that David Walliams read If You Go Away....I believe that Dale would have loved those inclusions.
I remember meeting him shortly after Dusty's Death at the National Portrait Gallery where he was buying up anything Dusty!
May he Rest In Peace X

Vanessa spoke about the funeral the other morning. This was told....
Dale was in a nightclub once and Dusty was there but he was too shy to go and speak to her. Dusty was in a restaurant and Dale was there and she was a fan but was too shy to go and say hello!
So they never met, it could have been a lovely friendship .
Would have been nice to have actually played a Dusty track as well as Carol Smilie singing Goin Back.

I think you meant Claire Sweeney Trek but I agree, it would have been more apt to have played the voice he loved rather than someone else singing her songs.
There's a part of you, that's a part of me...
