Dusty gets a mention twice in this article about the 50th anniversary of the BT Tower, site of her infamous cheese tart hurling incident:

If you liked that then how about this. The lifetime collection of Shirley Temple came up for auction recently and this little number was offered (can you believe she kept it all these years?):

Very similar Maggie. What did the Shirley dress sell for?

$75,000USD Cas. The doll in the same costume went for $14,000USD. You can see all the items here:

A Daily Mail use of Dusty as a fashion reference that, once again, is a real strétch:

I was sent some info about a new TV advert that's airing for the first time this weekend and thought it may be of interest to some. Can't seem to embed the video but it's here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrJhlVO ... e=youtu.be

Look out for a new TV ad appearing on screens nationwide from this weekend featuring a new version of the Dusty classic I Only Want To Be With You. The ad is for Dogs Trust, with a voice over by actor Martin Clunes and the acoustic cover is by 16-year-old singer songwriter Hope Russell-Winter from St Albans, Herts. Hopefully, you'll like the new version and LOVE the ad, which shows a dog at a Dogs Trust centre playing with his favourite woollen doll - until finally a man looking uncannily like the doll arrives to give him a new home. So hankies at the ready. The Dogs Trust ‪#‎SpecialSomeone‬ ad debuts on ITV1 this Saturday night during Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Last night I watched a programme I'd recorded called The Sound of Fury, about Billy Fury. Lee Everett was her usual self, talking about her part in his life (as she was with Kenny Everett and Dusty!) and the programme featured many of the rock n roll British guys from the early 60's. I enjoyed it and in the summing up, Lord David Puttman said "He was emblematic of a period in the same way that Dusty Springfield was...". I like how that was just slipped in there [:)]
