Emily-I am absolutely, positively, and certain you would love it. It is a wonderful book full of lovely photos and notes and much more. It is a shining tribute to a great artist and woman. Are u gonna get one? I don't know if any are still available. Guess u would have to get in touch with Paul Howes.

If I remember, I placed my order before it was distributed , I think it took at least 3 to 3 1/2 weeks. Book shipments can be very slow sometimes. Hope it comes soon! [:)]

I am glad yours is finally there. I am in Pennsylvania and mine took a long time to arrive as we'll. but it was worth the wait. Enjoy!

I am thumbing through it now between work...love that we get more from photo sessions that are well-known. A lot more has come out of the session for the Grand Finale 1980 poster, for example (I love that poster and the DSB cover that came from the same)

I wonder if the "mirror" pic I heard about with Dusty and Danny La Rue is there? Any game show pics?

EDIT: no Danny, and the closest thing to a game show was the "Go, Tina!" picture.

I will say that one big revelation to me so far is from the UK Memphis cover session. They have a B/W pic of Dusty with the long hair, and I think bare shoulders, and it's just angelic looking.

Well there has been a lot of scuttlebutt about the Karen Bartlett book. But what I want to know is, how many Dusty people are still looking at the Paul Howe book? Now that is a good book! The pictures are fantastic and I look at mine a lot. Paul did Dusty justice.

I agree Cecelia, love Paul's book. I just love to look at Dusty's pictures and think of what a wonderful singer and person she was. :bravo: :rose: I really don't believe any book could or would make me feel any differently about Dusty, no matter what.

I have the 1st and 2nd edition of Paul's book (the CDS).
The 2nd edition I bought thru Amazon. Their description said slight damage, so when it arrived I found a single slash mark across the front, and thru the dust cover (no other damage).
I shouldn't have to mention why I took it as a sign. [bow]
A good sign.

I did not get this book but do regret it after having a little glimpse of Nancy's recently.
Paul H. did a fantastic job putting it together ... It's beautiful.

Not available on Amazon.com here in the USA. Available on Amazon.co.uk for 60 pounds + shipping/handling.
Contact Paul Howes at and ask if copies are available and what his costs are.
You can always wait a while longer to see if it pops up on EBay,

I'm fussy. If I get it, it has to be hardcover.
I'll keep an eye out for it.
Silly of me not to have taken advantage of Paul's discount to former Bulletin subscribers. [:o)]

I still love my Dusty book. I look at it over and over. Every time I open it, It's still like looking at it for the first time. I am very glad I bought it. Those pictures are just spectacular. And I know I am not the only one that continues to take that trip down memory lane, right?

To say I treasure this book is a bit of an understatement. I keep it in a plastic bag in a padded case, which is too small for my laptop. I look at it at least once a month and marvel at the wonderful photos. <3

I too regularly look at the book. I adore it and think Paul has done Dusty proud. When I first hear of it
I thought too pricey but had to have it. When I received it I saw what a total bargain it is. A wonderful
tribute to Dusty and a must for every fan.

lOOKS LIKE THESE ARE THE LAST OF THE BOOKS FOR SALE, ALBEIT PAPER BACK. e-Bay LOOKS LIKE PH FROM THE ADDRESS. HARD BACK WILL ONLY BE UP FOR GRABS IF A FAN DECIDES TO SELL, WHICH IS UNLIKELY. UNLESS OF COURSE PH DECIDES ON A SECOND PRINT.

For those of us that have this wonderful book, look at the picture of Dusty on page 362. Dusty looks beautiful and yet so sad it just breaks my heart. Don't you wonder what she was thinking about? I do. I wonder what was going on in her life at the time.

I just spend the last hour looking at Paul Howe's book "Looking Good Isn't Always Easy." And it is still as wonderful as the very first time I looked at it. The pictures are so beautiful it just melts your heart. It was worth every last penny I Paid for it and then some. Sometimes I wish there could be a book number two. What a special lady she was and always will be. <3

My book has arrived today, I can't get over how beautiful it is! It's clear to see how much time and effort has been but into it. It's just... Amazing!

If anyone else would like a copy of the soft cover, they're on Amazon.co.uk for £35 with £2.80 postage and packaging. [:)]

So pleased that you have a copy Hannah, it really is something special. What a great price at the moment. Paul put so much hard work into it, he is such a devoted fan of Dusty, we are so lucky .
I have the hard -copy which is kept in a plastic bag in a laptop bag (which is too small for my laptop), nobody knows it is there but me.A treasure which comes out quite often to cheer me up as I Ilisten to her music. Enjoy it as I know you will  :note: :star:

Thank you Pat. We are very lucky indeed. Mine will be kept in the plastic sleeve it came in and four sheets of bubble wrap (after I finish popping them, of course) [:D] I definitely am enjoying it. :note:

After spending hours gazing at this book. I've tried to narrow down my favourite pages. I'm sure anyone who has this book agrees, it's very difficult to do as they're all so beautiful.

Mine are 16 (possibly my favourite page out of the entire book), 23-29, 50, 100-101, 143, 174, 228 (top picture), 338-339, 355, 376-377,412 and 415. :pensive:
