outtakes

Hello everybody,

I`m new to the board and have a question.

As an Elvis Fan I`m used to deluxe edtions of Albums with outtakes of a certain session like take 1 to 5 for a certain song.
Did that ever happen to a dusty release? Does anybody know why?

A possible reason is that Dusty was meticulous about her recordings. She worked long and hard to make them perfect. Dusty may have had the outtakes destroyed, or at least left them uncompleted and unusable. The only one I know of is Oo-oo Child:



It's certain, though, that if Dusty were here she would recoil from having them released.

There are several alternate takes of Dusty tracks released over the years (probably in error). I Only Want To Be With You, Anyone Who Had A Heart & Losing You spring to mind. Also Spooky is sometimes released without the finger snaps and echo when she sings the word Spooky at the end, it isn't the same without the echo!
