I never have the radio on Liz. I used to in the 60s and 70s then when i had the boys I never bothered with music, too busy.

Don Black played Oscar winning songs on his Sunday night show.
He played WOYM ...the Dusty version not Noel Harrison :star:
The whole programme was good and well worth a listen on catch up. Don always plays great artists.

Please if you can give radio 4 a listen for Billie Jean King on desert island discs today.
As you can guess from her friendship with Dusty then this is a nice tribute
Thanks Billie Jean for this very interesting look at your life and the philosophy you have followed in your personal and professional life.
Have a listen , I think you will enjoy it. :dig:

Glad you heard it trek, doesnt seem like anyone else is interested.... [:(]
a shame as there are so many Dusty link ups there and she chose Nona Hendryx song too. Her life force is quite something and explains why she was and is so successful.
It will be in the radio 2 desert island discs as well as I player if anyone does want to listen. [:)]

Thanks for heads up on Billie Jean, certainly worth a listen. Often wondered if BJ snuck Dusty into Wimbledon during her visits back to UK . Dusty loved her tennis but was probably to shy to go in case she was recognised. Here's the link:-

Well I was interested Liz and listened to the whole show on Sunday. Billie Jean said it nearly drove her crazy, she could have chosen hundreds of songs and so for her to include Dusty in the eight, was special. She has one of those voices that you just have to listen to, I'm a big fan and I'd love to have her as a fantasy dinner guest. Along with Dusty and Bette Midler [:D] I didn't know the Nona song but it was lovely.
There's a part of you, that's a part of me...
