Johnny Cash Show - Now Available on GetTV

Postby edjames » Sat Jul 07, 2018 3:20 pm

Just announced here in the states is the availability of the Johnny Cash TV show on GetTv.
https://www.get.tv

Hopefully, Dusty's Appearance from will be included.

Although I am not certain of the truth of this synopsis from IMdb says: Aired February 4, 1970 , Johnny Cash sings "The Talking Leaves", "Trail of Tears", "South Wind", "I Still Miss Someone" and "Folsom Prison Blues". Dusty Springfield sings "Understand Your Man" & "Sugar Time". Johnny & Kirk Douglas duet on "I Walk the Line". Johnny & Rod McKuen duet on "Doesn't Anybody Know My Name?". Johnny and the Statler Brothers perform "This Old House". Johnny and the Carter Family perform "Johnny Yuma".
If true, these are two numbers that are NOT listed in The Complete Dusty Springfield, and are indeed rare.
My guess it's an error. (please let me be wrong!)

We do know, and have seen the YouTube video of Dusty on the show (recorded at Nashville's historic Grand Ole Orpy (the original theater)) singing a medley of Seekers hits, written by brother Tom..

Here in NYC, the channel is aired on Spectrum Tv, channel 1284. Set yer DVR!

I would also add that GetTV also airs episodes of The Merv Griffin Show, but in no particular order and for some reason my DVR will not record the series! Grrrrr....
