Windows / Fuji

Postby jeffery » Sun Jul 11, 2010 6:55 pm

 My PC is an HP having Windows home premium.(basic program)
I installed the Fuji/Finepix picture managing program which came with my digital camera.
Problem is when I try to send the pictures (upload attachment) it doesn't complete the task.
It shows on the progress bar, but never goes thru, never finishes. Like it came to a dead end.
I'm sure the problem is in "control settings", but I don't quite know what to look for.
The tech-support PH # is no help. Their reply is "DUH !"
:? I thought I'd ask for a tip here on the forum.

The problem is probably that the files you are trying to upload are too large. We have a 1 MB limit for attachments. The reason for this limit is that it would take unreasonably long time for users with a slower internet connection to view the photo since it would take a long time to load.

There is a simple solution for your problem though:

1. Go to http://www.resizeyourimage.com/
2. Upload your image.
3. Adjust your image by using the arrows.
4. Click the orange button "Resize your image".
5. Click on "Save this image".

The file size will be adjusted automatically and you can upload it here as an attachment without problems.

Yeah, that was my first guess Cor. I've been useing that site since your first tutorial.
Same thing happens when I go to resizeyourimage.
It acts like it's loading, but never finishes. I'm baffled.

Have you copied your photos from your camera to your hard disk, Jeffery?

I just want to make sure the basics are right. [:)]

:? Yes, I installed the FinePix program that came with my Fuji camera. I loaded the photos on my camera to my PC. I go to my pictures, and they are there in the program. When I browse to it, and try to upload the attachment it acts like it's doing it, you see the progress bar come to an end, but then it stops, and never finishes. When the pictures are too big a window will appear telling my so, but at least the process comes to an end . It has me confused. After lunch I'm going to the store to pick some brains, and see if they can give me a clue. Thanks again, I'll let you know what happens. [;)]

You should be able to see the actual file size of your picture somewhere in the menu of your hard disk too. Make sure it's not too large. [:)]

And good luck at the store!
