Manchester Meet 2018

Postby Cas19 » Sun Sep 30, 2018 8:53 am

It wouldn't be fair to single out any of our hard working, caring, funny and generous friends who have made this years Manchester Meet such a resounding success.
£1407 was raised from the auction, raffle and name the teddy. £1107 is to go to Iain Duncan Smith at the Royal Marsden London for his reseach into breast cancer, in Dustys name. £300 will be sent to LTDs Flower fund to help keep the planter replemised at Dustys marker in Henley.
Our thanks to all who donated in any way and to all who were so generous in helping us raise such an amazing amount. We couldn't do it without you all. xxx

I want to add to this thread by posting huge thank you to those of you who met up in Manchester in September and gave funds which contributed to the donation of £300.00 which Cas sent to me recently to be added to the flower fund, as she mentioned in her October message.

Hi, I'm new to the boards. Is the Manchester Meet an annual event each September?

It has been for the past 5 or so years. It's not a big affair like Dusty Day in London, it's a more intimate gathering of a bunch of Dusty fans/friends getting together over a couple of days.
There's a part of you, that's a part of me...

Ah, I see. Thanks Carole

Not sure yet whether I will be able to make it down to Dusty Day in London, but it would be lovely to meet some fellow Dusty enthusiasts.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying the boards!

Best,

Roisin

Hi Roisin, sorry it took so long for me to approve your post. I've been away on holiday. You're now free to post away, no approval necessary. Again, sorry! And enjoy the boards! [:)]
