Dusty's headstone in Henley

Dusty's planter renewed for summer 2017.JPG
It's almost summer again (it feels like it really is here in the UK!), so it was time to refresh the planter on Dusty's memorial. Annette from The White Garden florist has supplied the attached picture this afternoon, and after she had given all the plants a substantial watering. She made the point of saying that the (David Austin) rose at the rear may not look spectacular now, but in a few weeks will provide a cascading backdrop to the other plants and flowers. Most of my own roses are from the same supplier, and I can vouch for the profusion of their blooms. Maybe visitors could post a photo of the rose if they visit when there are blooms on it.

Once again, sincere thanks to Annette, who is very much a part of this 'family'.

Best wishes everyone on this (UK) holiday weekend.

John

Wonderful to see Dusty's stone cared for so lovingly. Thank you, Annette and John, and to everyone who contributes to the flower fund! <3

So pleased that the plant that I placed there is continuing to flower. I was worried that it would die without it being tendered. I try to visit and place a tribute to Dusty whenever I am in the South. Despite feeling sad when I visit it is a beautiful place to sit and a fitting tribute.
