Cor, how much is the cost in U.S. dollars? So I should just contact Nancy by email, correct, to pay by check? That's how I paid for Norma's CD. After receiving it I'm eager to order so more CDs from here. [:D]

Hi TK, for some reason I forgot to quote the price in USD. I've just updated my post. It's 5 USD for a single CD, and 12 USD for a double CD.

Send a check to Nancy, email your order to Rob, robwilkins54@hotmail.com. He sends out these CDs.

You will love the live performances! Dusty sang so much stuff live that she never recorded! [ear]

Hi, Cor [:)]

Is it possible to have a custom disc created where one can choose the track listing?

Hi there Joe! Yes sure. Give me a track listing so I can make sure I've got all the tracks. I know there are one or two live CDs I don't have, but I never remember which ones! Don't expect a fancy cover design though! [;)] If it's not excessively long, prices are as above.

Thank you Corina. book editing must be interesting, definition is often laced in text with i feel an introduction

of social history, for many accademic text. I do more qualatative sociology than book reading. Although

i have become more familiar with most core reading over the years.

Interesting your from Sweden i am also an abba. I wish they would do a Christmas album. My favourite is

Frida, i love Frida Ensam, and Frida 1967-72, while Djupa Andetag, was just as pashionate as the early

recordings. There's more siomotics than you would think in Abba recordings, especially the album tracks.

I admire study for collected music mostly recorded in America and her sense of style. From 1960 to 1995

i would always some style that i would like. I hope they release some of the songs from |U Tube.

I bought Dusty all through the 1990s.

If you ever want to talk i am this site Sundays, let me know if you any knowledge of the latest world cinema,

i haven't been for a while and i must catch up.

Finally my favourite Dusty period was around the early 70s and the lost American years. The 60s were wonderful

though.

I do a part time degree and my ambition is do world city travel breaks all around the world. Nice to meet

someone literate, i don't know other Dusty fans, but as i say Sunday is my day for Friends.

I ecnlose my number below

Hello Darren,

1. All our CDs and DVDs are "copy on demand", so they are always available. We ask our member to print out the inlay from the appropriate thread, as it helps us to keep costs down. We don't take anything for ourselves, your money goes unabridged to our Dusty charities.

2. Drury Lane is a double CD.

Hi Susan, and welcome to LTD! We offer mp3s and m4a files. What concerns the quality, however, please bear in mind that many recordings were made off of the TV or radio by fans back in the day, and have been converted from reels and cassettes.

We're offering this gem of a radio show with Dusty introducing and playing her favourite music for free right now: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=7868
so download it and see what you think! [:)]

Happy listening! [ear]

Hi Corinna

Been a while but I had one of those Dusty wake up calls with the latest remix of the Philly recordings. Right now for me it seems like a dream. Cause it shook me up. That a Atlantic Records multi track tape actually survived the fire. It was misplaced somehow instead of that horror vault. If you want to call it that that burned everything to the ground. It's sad but it seems like In Memphis and Faithful the 8 multi track tapes of those recordings might of not of survived. Do you have any information where they found them or located these tapes the Philly one's . I would love to hear the story. I played the remix on headphones and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Real Gone Music there really doing a great job with these compilations. Faithful looks like it was found also just the two track. But they sound 100 times better than the bonus versions on the 1999 IM version. At that time that was all they could locate. But the new Faithful CD sounds very authentic and fresh like the mixes or tapes were never played. The one for Come for a dream I'm still trying to figure that one.

But has there been a new recording of Drury Lane or is it the same like the red box version I have. Which was like the first one. I see there are others. Are they the same or better .... or worse ....

I'm really looking for Dusty concerts I see most of the live CD's are from TV appearances. But I would love to hear a Dusty concert. Especially from the 1960's and 1970's... Did not one person in the world ever record Dusty from the soundboard or a audience recording... I can't believe not one exists in her lifetime... It's devastating. No one bothered to record any of her concert engagements . I know we have the 1979 shows. But that seems like that's all there is. Is this true ? Love Mike :rose:

Hi Mike

I thought I'd try and answer this for you. I would dearly love to have recordings from 1960/1970's however things were a lot different back then. The first thing I'd say is Dusty had one of the very first cassette recorders/player from Philips they gave it to Dusty. It was mono this would have been about 1963'ish. I ended up with it. Not the best recorder you have ever seen or heard, but OK for the odd thing. There were no mobiles or decent tape portable recorders so , it would have been very hard for anyone in the audience to record anything, nothing was around to do this. Even the tape machines at the major studios were at the time only four track machines some only had two and another two track to bounce things off. These tape machine were also quite large and heavy. You say take a line out of the mixing desk or soundboard as you suggested. One problem here! Doing shows back then even for the major concert tours and other shows, we were left to the mercy of the house sound system -- all of them were pretty terrible, and the sound from them horrible. The Echoes did have their own PA system but only good in small venues and clubs. These days they take tons & tons of sound equipment for tours. The only other way years ago for a recording to be done with any sort of good sound was for a professional company to do it -- which even these days is very expensive.
Now we Mobile phones, Laptops, portable computers and small portable recorders. Not so back then, oh to take back in time one of the new portable recorders we would have some great stuff now..

Hi Corinna

This is the link regarding what I call Drury Lane w the red box.

I got this years ago at the same place

No wait I never bought that lol .... It's from memory. I looked in my Inbox... I bought it here in 2012 but then there was no artwork. LOL I was wondering why I couldn't find it. I don't have it.

Mike

Thanks also Dougie so wow there's really no concert recordings except all the TV appearances it's amazing from the live CD series how many Dusty appeared on. That's basically her live recordings and the BBC one's and the multi track was only at the Royal Albert Hall.

You know I brought this up too many years ago. I still haven't done it but I want to take like as long as it takes to find every Dusty TV performance on You Tube except anything that's already on professional DVD's like anything off the BBC DVD Royal Albert Hall DVD ( except for those lost performances from the show which is too bad they are lost I'm still curious how those were saved I forget the story like songs like Hollywood Movie Girls and etc ) and the DVD's that have certain TV appearances in very high quality.

Just all rare TV appearances from You Tube which you can download there's free software to download anything from You Tube and then all her interviews !!! And TV documentaries that aren't on DVD's. And then put them all together in a folder and the hit play all and you can watch for hours non stop TV appearances and interviews from You Tube. With documentaries being a bit separate since they are like a hour or 30 minutes. That could be a DVD for sale like the CD's which are like the audio of a lot of the video appearances. Although I'm sure there's more Audio where the video doesn't exist or I just haven't seen it or it was lost or erased. And you can have a definitive complete You Tube Dusty TV appearances and interviews..... I hope I didn't make anyone dizzy........
