2 POINTS for Clifford Curry
WHO is Fred Smith?

QM

There's the Fred Smith who played bass for Television and the Fred Smith who played guitar for the MC5. It seems there's also a Fred Smith who's also Iain Campbell Smith.

But to answer your question Ian Campbell is the real name of the recording artist known as Ian Campbell, whose group later provided a couple of members for Fairport Convention.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's NOT that Ian Campbell !.....it's another Ian Campbell who records under a different stage name...so Q6 is still up for grabs

That's a tricky question! [:p]
It could also be the singer / songwriter ICE MC aka Ian Campbell?
